This is my Poem Tree,
It starts with a root.
It grows to a sprout;
do you think it will bear fruit?
It stretches to a seedling,
forming little limbs.
I hope it will shade me,
am I going out on a whim?
Its bark starts to harden,
into textures now brown.
It’s growing evermore taller,
without a single sound.
Leaves start to form,
Bright green and veined.
Growing strong and mighty,
No truth to be feigned.
Now a fully grown tree,
ready to inspire.
Words etched into its trunk,
for future poets to aspire.
They’re meant to encourage,
the words that they read,
“The largest of accomplishments,
start from a seed”.
